Safety Around Water is a week-long water safety program running Monday, June 19 – Friday, June 23, 2017 for our friends and neighbors in the community at YMCA aquatic locations in Red Bank and Wall. This program is offered annually to first time participants who have little or no swimming ability.
The world is 71% water. Children are 100% curious.
The 5-day Safety Around Water course introduces the aquatic environment to beginners, teaches basic learn-to-swim skills and increases water safety awareness for families. Classes are available for parent/child, preschool, youth, teen and adults with the goal to make everyone feel safe and comfortable in and around the water. Registration is now open and must be done in person at YMCA aquatic locations:
Red Bank Health & Wellness Center
Lass Aquatics Center at Camp Zehnder
3911 Herbertsville Road | Wall, NJ 08724
Community Program Fee: $15
Space is limited and all registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Y members who have not participated in a YMCA swim program/or who have had a child(ren) in our swim program will be placed on a waiting list—and will be registered only if classes don’t fill to maximum student/instructor ratios. Additionally, a variety of aquatics programs are offered throughout the year, including swim lessons for children as young as six months, family swim time and competitive swimming at both aquatic locations
