Red Bank, NJ (July 28, 2015) – Easy-to-use. Cutting edge. Comfortable. These are just a few of the words members used to describe the new cardio equipment installed this week at the Y’s Family Health and Wellness Center in Red Bank.

The new Precor equipment offers a high-quality fitness experience to help members achieve their individual fitness goals. Using Preva Technology, members can set goals and create custom workouts right on the console and enjoy listening to music, watching TV or browsing news and blogs while they work out.

Preva tracks a member’s fitness progress both at the Y or on-the-go with the Preva mobile app. So, all fitness activity, from walking the dog to running a 5K, can easily be logged.

In all, more than 40 new ellipticals, treadmills and upright and recumbent bikes were installed. Also new to the center are 20 Keiser spin bikes equipped with built-in heart rate monitors, two Cybex total body arc trainers and a SciFit upper body ergometer.

“We are excited to bring this state-of-the-art equipment to our wellness center to enhance our members’ fitness experience,” said The Community YMCA President and CEO Rhonda Anderson. “We’re here to support our members and help everyone live healthier.”

After an hour-long workout on one of the new Precor ellipitcals, Sean Duddy, a member of the Y for nearly 10 years, gave high marks to the new equipment. He appreciated the ease of the technology, including the ability to monitor his heart rate, and “I watched CNBC to see what’s going on in the financial markets.”

As always, Y Wellness Coaches are available to assist members with the new equipment. For more information, e-mail
