The Bayshore Family Success Center is located at the Henry Hudson Trail Activity Center in Leonardo. The center is a community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering place where any community resident can go for family support, information and services.
The purpose of Family Success Centers is to enrich the lives of children and parents by making families and neighborhoods stronger. Families receive support in dealing with the stress of parenting and everyday issues.

Bayshore Family Success Center Event Calendar
Girls Group | Monday, April 29, 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Come join the Bayshore Family Success Center in a brand-new Girls Group! The group is open to girls ages 10-15 years old. They will be able to discuss some positive affirmations that they can practice daily, ways to live a positive lifestyle, and most importantly, how to stay positive in negative situations. Afterwards, they will do a craft reflecting on everything they have learned and be able to implement it into their everyday life.
Boys Club | Monday, April 29, 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Come join the Bayshore Family Success Center in a brand-new Boys Club! The club is open to boys ages 4-9 years old. They will be talking about some of the things they enjoy doing in their free time, bonding with others in their age group, and doing a fun craft. The craft will help them channel their inner self and be able to show who they are or want to be.
Reading Circle | Every Thursday starting April 4, 4 p.m.-5 p.m.
Come join the Bayshore Family Success Center in a reading circle with volunteers from Costco in Hazlet. Families can listen to books while enjoying a complementary snack! Pre-registration is required so don’t miss out on the fun. To register call 732.497.3811 or email at familysuccess@ymcanj.org.
Every 1st and 3rd Friday, we will have Social Services on site to assist and process applications for TANF, SNAP, General Assistance, and Health Insurance.

Childcare Resources | Every 1st Friday
A representative from Child Care Resources will be at the Center every first Friday to answer questions about childcare subsidies and help with completing the application.

The need for diapers doesn’t have to be overwhelming!
On average babies need 6 diapers a day and newborns need more than double that. Not having diapers can lead to less frequent changes causing severe diaper rash, urinary tract and staph infections, and other health conditions.
Supporting Families
The Bayshore Family Success Center is excited to continue our monthly Pop-Up Baby Pantry. Inventory is based on community donations and includes diapers, wipes, rash cream/ointment, and formula. We have been fortunate to have a caring community continuously support us and we are currently well-stocked!
Our Pop-Up Baby Pantry is open the first Friday of every month. Supplies are distributed on a first come, first served basis. If you have any questions, contact us at familysuccess@ymcanj.org.
The Bayshore Family Success Center’s Pop-Up Baby Pantry is open to families who live in the Bayshore area which includes Keyport, Union Beach, Keansburg, North Middletown, Port Monmouth, Belford, Leonardo, Atlantic Highlands, and Highlands.
Tutoring is every Saturday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Team up with a high school student and get help with your schoolwork! Tutoring is offered at no charge at the Bayshore Family Success Center 945 Hwy 36, Leonardo.
Tutoring is offered at no charge. Students in grades K-8 are invited to register and will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour. Students are required to bring their own homework, worksheet, or old quiz to work on with the tutor.

Middle and high school students and their families are invited to join the Y and our mental health partners, Mental Health Association of Monmouth County and Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, at Bell Works Holmdel, May 10, 5:00-8:00 p.m. for an evening of creative expression and appreciation!
