The Community YMCA has been selected as a beneficiary of the Fourth Annual Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The parade brings the Rumson community together to honor St. Patrick and celebrate the many contributions by Irish-Americans to American culture.

Leading up to Parade Day, there are several fundraising events with Irish music, food and surprise guests. Proceeds of these events will benefit both The Community YMCA and 180 Turning Lives Around.

“The Y is honored to be selected as a recipient of the Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade and festivities,” said President and CEO Rhonda Anderson.  “We are grateful for the support in helping us to strengthen kids and families in our community who need us the most.”

The donation to the Y will support the organization’s Annual Campaign to help provide financial assistance to individuals and families in need of Y programs and services.

Join the Y and Parade Grand Marshal Jack C. Howley on Sunday, March 13 at 1 p.m. to enjoy floats, bag pipe bands, marching bands from area high schools, Irish Step Dancers, antique cars and more!
