Red Bank Healthy Kids Membership – As part of our commitment to the health and physical activity of area kids, the Y provides free memberships to all Red Bank kids in grades pre-K – 8.

Strengthening Families & Community

Bayshore Family Success Center – A state-funded Family Success Center, now open at the Henry Hudson Trail Activity Center, 945 State Highway 36, Leonardo, provides individuals and families in the Bayshore area with resources and support.

Diabetes Prevention – A National YMCA-funded initiative to help those with a risk of developing type 2 diabetes take action in reducing that risk and gaining tools for a healthier lifestyle.

Hop the Gap –  When children and teens are out of school, many face challenges related to health, learning, water safety and safe spaces, which prevent them from reaching their full potential.

Caring staff and volunteers at The Community YMCA are playing a key role in helping local children to overcome these challenges this summer by providing a safe, nurturing place to learn, stay healthy and build friendships.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA – A free twelve-week, small group exercise program designed to assist adult cancer survivors in regaining their strength and health after treatment.

Ftiness in the Park – The Y is partnered with the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign in Red Bank to improve the health of employees and residents and promote a healthier community. For the past three summers, the Y has offered free fitness classes at Riverside Gardens Park to keep residents active.  We look forward to offering Fitness In the Park this summer!

Togetherhood – Our national Togetherhood initiative encourages Y members to give back and support their neighbors through community service projects. It’s a simple, fun and rewarding way for members to identify ways to give back through their own ideas, skills and energy, and the network of the Y. For more information, call 732.741.2504.

Keeping Kids Safe

Darkness to Light – The Y has partnered with the nonprofit organization Darkness to Light to bring childhood sexual abuse prevention training to youth organizations, local businesses, fire/police departments, schools, and residents of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Swimming & Water Safety – Through community initiatives such as our annual Learn to Swim Week and the 3rd Grade Swim Program, as well as our competitive swim team, swim lessons, lifeguard training and safety certifications, the Y is the national leader in providing swimming and water safety programs for residents of all ages.
