We offer a variety of programs and services to help families who have children with special needs.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE

All ages

Please Note: There is a 24-hour cancellation policy on private swim lessons. Services will be charged if an appointment is not cancelled 24 hours in advance.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

FITNESS FOR SPECIAL POPULATIONS

Ages 11 and up
Class length: 1 hour
This class offers participants a challenging range of activities including strength training and cardiovascular exercise. Participants will focus on all-around fitness and will help improve coordination, attention and self-esteem. This class will be taught by a certified Personal Trainer with a background in special needs. Parent participation is welcome.
Wednesday 5:15-6:15 p.m.

SPECIAL NEEDS PERSONAL TRAINING

4. Stroke Introduction- Preschool

Age 3-5 years old, formerly Ray 2. Students must be able to proficiently swim 15yd of freestyle and backstroke. Swimmers will build the endurance to swim 25yd. (the length of Bodman Pool) continuously and will be introduced to both the breaststroke and butterfly kicks.

Ages 6 & up, formerly Shark. In this stage, swimmers should be able to swim 150yd. of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and will build the endurance to swim 200yd. with proper turns. Throughout the session, stroke technique will be refined and students will discover how to incorporate swimming into a healthy lifestyle.

Ages 3-5 years old, formerly Eel. In this stage, swimmers should be comfortable with their face in the water and able to swim 15-20ft on their front independently (with flotation). Swimmers will work towards 15yd. on their front with alternating arms, and back floating for 10 seconds.
