The Community YMCA’s Global Teens Program offers local teens a transformative summer travel experience in Lima and Machu Picchu, Peru.
Students ages 13 -17 will experience new perspectives through local culture, language and lifestyle. Participants will spend their time in Peru working collaboratively with local teens on a variety of service projects that will help build and restore infrastructure within Lima and neighboring communities.
Travel to Peru & Give Back to a Global Community with the Y’s Global Teens
Students will help make real changes in the communities that we serve while working hard and learning from local leaders and teens about the different facets of need existing within their communities. They will also have the opportunity to explore the world famous UNESCO heritage site Machu Picchu.
Participants will be required to attend monthly preparatory meetings prior to going on the trip to familiarize themselves with issues related to service, international travel, cultural awareness, Peruvian customs, and more.
Ages: 13 -17
