Fun and fitness go together!
Families are invited to participate in fitness challenges, relay games, kids zumba and yoga, dabble in arts and crafts, sample healthy snacks, enjoy giveaways, view nutritional displays, and more! Parents and guardians will also get plenty of great ideas for activities to keep kids active during the summer, a time when children are more prone to gain weight and fall behind academically.
This national YMCA initiative to improve the health and well-being of families and kids will take place at three of The Community YMCA facilities:
Camp Zehnder | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
3911 Herbertsville Road, Wall, 08724
Walking tours of the 140-acre camp will be available and families will enjoy fun, fitness challenges, a bounce house, nutrition information, healthy snacks, and more. Families who attend Healthy Kids Day at Camp Zehnder can enter to win a free week of camp!
Teens interested in summer employment are also invited to attend.
Child Achievement Center | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
201 Broad Street, Matawan, 07747
